The Intellectual Property Division
The Intellectual Property Division (IPD) of the Ministry of Trade and Industry is responsible for administration of the industrial property system. The IPD is also assigned the task of promoting the establishment of a comprehensive intellectual property protection system in the country which will include in addition to protection of trademarks, protection regimes for patents, industrial designs, copyright and other intellectual property rights.

IPD is presently comprised of the Registry of Trademarks, the Registry of Patents , the Registry of Industrial Designs and the Copyright Office. Of these the Registry of Industrial Designs and the Registry of Patents is still in the process of being operationalized.

IPD is now located in the Industrial Estate Complex in Changzamtog.
